EXTRACT FROM HONG KONG POLICE GENERAL ORDERS DATED 9-11-1945,

SALARIES.

There appears to be some uncertainty in the minds of the

Sergeants, Sub-Inspectors and Inspectors of the HONG KONG pre-war

Police Force as to whether recently appointed officers are to be

given advantage of salary or seniority as compared with themselves,

This notice is intended to re-assure them that, though it is

impracticable at the moment to publish the details of the scheme,

the recommendations submitted to the Government

which are now

under ergent consideration

-

have been designed to safe-guard and

improve the position of pre-war police officers.
